What’s new in Jadawel

Jadawel ships a weekly release during the beta. Here is the full record of changes, and a dedicated place to report anything that breaks.

v0.9.4 Latest 4 August 2026

MCP server, and much faster Excel import
- New Every database can now be exposed as an MCP server, so AI assistants read and update rows with your team’s permissions.
- Improved Arabic .xlsx import is roughly 3× faster, and mixed Arabic/English headers are now detected correctly.
- Fixed Long Arabic text no longer overflows the cell when the row height is set to short.
- Fixed Hijri dates in the date field now sort in the right order.

Field-level permissions and audit log
- New Hide or lock individual fields per role — useful for salary and national ID columns.
- New Exportable audit log showing who changed what and when.
- Fixed Arabic form submissions no longer lose the tashkeel in long text answers.

- New A packaged installer for entities that host Jadawel inside their own data centre.
